The Journal of Pakistan Psychiatric Society (JPPS) is the official journal of Pakistan Psychiatric Society. We are dedicated to encourage and facilitate research at all levels and in all fields of psychiatry. We are predominantly devoted to reporting original investigations in the biomedical and health sciences relevant to the mental health including research in the basic sciences; clinical trials of therapeutic agents; effectiveness of diagnostic or therapeutic techniques; or studies relating to the behavioral, epidemiological or educational aspects of psychiatry.
Pakistan Psychiatric Society (PPS) is the organization representing all the psychiatrists working in Pakistan . The society aims to promote the mental health in Pakistan . The society advocates for the best patient care, promotes education and training in Psychiatry and encourages original research in Pakistan .
This site contains the full text of all articles published in the JPPS since January 2005. Access to the entire site is free. Since the site is launched now, we may introduce many changes in response to user's suggestions. We welcome your comments - favorable and unfavorable - about the website and any further suggestions for improving it. There is no need to ask permission for JPPS as a link from your site. The JPPS aims to publish rigorous, accessible articles on all topics pertaining to various disciplines of psychiatry for publication.
The journal is published biannually in January and July each year. The views expressed in the articles do not reflect the opinion of the Pakistan Psychiatric Society or the editorial board of the journal.
